Amber Rose Breaks Down During SlutWalk, Forgives Exes Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa's Comments
Let those tears flow, girl! Amber Rose broke down while addressing the crowd at the SlutWalk event in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 3. Rose, 31, hosted the event — and even had her mom on hand — and in a touching speech, told the audience that it’s taken a while to finally forgive her exes, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa, for their hurtful words.
“I want to forgive Kanye about what he said about me,” she said through tears, about the now-infamous diss West once made on his ex on a morning radio show. “I want to let all of that negativity go.”
In February, West, 38, told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that he had to “take 30 showers” after being with Rose, adding that the model was just “soakin’ in the moment.”
“If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose,” he said at the time.
Rose also forgave her other ex, Khalifa, 28, with whom she has a son, 2-year-old Sebastian, for calling her nothing but a stripper in one of his songs.
“He went on to make a song saying that he fell in love with a stripper, but fell out of love quicker,” she said at the event, which helps raise awareness for victim-blaming in acts of sexual violence. “As you can imagine, him being the love of my life, regardless of us going through a separation or not, it was extremely hurtful.”
On Friday, just ahead of the event, Rose told Us Weekly that she’s also put her beef with Khloe and Kim Kardashian to rest.
“I think via text and via social media, things come across wrong sometimes,” she told Us. “I was simply saying that me and Kim are in the same boat. We both done slutty things and we both … have fame and we’re both helping our families, that’s basically what I was trying to say. I wasn’t trying to slut-shame Kim.”
“I think it’s really f—king dope that from a sex tape she has thirty different companies and her family is rich and they’re doing really, really well,” she added. “If anything, I support that.”
